AppleCare only covers hardware failure but does not cover physical damage. W. P. Carey MBA Classrooms and team rooms are limited in space and result in many accidents. Other accidents occur while transporting to and from school. Accidents also occur when working individually or in teams from inattention and from long hours. The average laptop hardware repair costs $500 - $600. Over 8 years of required laptops in the W. P. Carey MBA, there is an average of 10 student laptops replaced each year from hardware damage. Over the same 8 years, there is an average of one student laptop repaired each week. To eliminate incidental repair costs, students must purchase additional hardware insurance coverage. Safeware provide complete hardware coverage at a very affordable rate.
